Lakeview LTC Pharmacy packages scheduled medications in single-dose or multi-dose bubble packages designed to streamline medication administration and enhance patient safety. Our compliance packaging systems are specifically engineered for long term care facilities, providing clear organization and reducing medication errors through precise labeling and color-coded identification.
Single-Dose Compliance Packaging
Single-dose compliance packaging contains one medication with 28 doses per ‘card’ and is identified with a standard prescription label and the corresponding dosing time. This method is ideal for patients with simpler medication regimens or when individual medication tracking is required.
Multi-Dose Compliance Packaging
Multi-dose compliance packaging contains up to six different medications within each bubble. We provide four color-coded trays that contain 28 bubbles each for the morning, noon, evening and nighttime doses. Patient information is printed on each card, and each bubble contains the corresponding drug and administration information. This system significantly reduces the time staff spends organizing medications while improving dosing accuracy.
Cycle Management
In the event a patient requires a prescription update in the middle of their cycle, we will provide a completely updated card for the remaining days of their cycle. The obsolete card with the old medication will be picked up by our driver when the new card is delivered.
When a patient is hospitalized, please notify our staff so we can place a hold on their medication cycle. To resume medication dispensing once a patient is discharged from the hospital, we require a documented medication list that includes the complete prescription information for each item.
